The Administrator group is a specific user group : it is to be used by the computer owner.
It is the only group allowed to access the computer remote management.
The definition of a user account is mandatory in the Administrator group, but you can disable it if it is of no use to you.
A User is the person accessing your Weezo personal site. He/she does so through a User group.
The Weezo account allows you and the other users to access your Weezo personal site. It is similar to an e-mail address or a website address.
User groups allow you to define which people can access which shares.
The access to these groups can be protected by passwords.
For instance, you can create :
- The "Administrator Group" ,with which you can access all your files on your hard drive and remote management of your Weezo personal site,
- A "Family Group" , with which you give access to your photos
- A "Guest Group", not password protected, with which you give access to your blog
You can manage the different user groups by clicking the "Groups" tab in the Weezo management interface.
"Shares" are the content of your Weezo personal site : files, blog, webcam... whatever you choose to share.
Once created, these "Shares" must be assigned to one or more user groups.
You can manage your Shares (creation, configuration, deletion...) by clicking the "Shares" tab in the Weezo management interface.
Similar to an address book, "Contacts" allow you to store the list of your relatives (family, friends, co-worker,...) personal sites.
Having a Contact List allow you to be notified in real time when one of your contacts' personal site becomes available and to easily access this site.
You can manage your Contact List by clicking the "Contacts" tab in the Weezo management interface.
The Weezo Personal Site is your personal web site that allow you to remotely access your computer and sharestuffs with whoever you want to. And it's free. |
